What’s the difference between net rent and gross rent?
- Net rent, often referred to as ‘base’ rent or ‘minimum’ rent is just the rent portion of total occupancy costs
- Gross rent is all costs paid to the landlord combined so it’s the ‘net rent’ plus other costs such as outgoings & any promotional or marketing levy
- Both figures are expressed as dollars per square meter
- Both figures are always expressed excluding gst
