I’ve been issued a breach notice. What should I do?
- If you receive a breach notice, make every effort to rectify the breach by the date and the means provided in the notice.
- If there’s any disagreement on whether a breach has occurred, discuss with the lessor asap
- If still in disagreement, seek formal advice
- If you do not act, the lessor may commence ‘recovery action’ which will likely include locking you out of the tenancy.
